Joint Statement with the Arab Youth Organization

Following a series of meetings between the Arab Youth Organization and the Popular Democracy Movement of Canada, and based on our shared commitment to the just causes of peoples and the fight against colonialism and expansionism, we declare the following:
Affirming the need to strengthen relations between progressive parties and organizations in Tunisia and Canada, enhancing cooperation on common issues to serve the aspirations of people for liberation and social justice.
Rejecting the statements made by Donald Trump regarding the annexation of Canada to the United States, considering them part of the American expansionist agenda that threatens national sovereignty.
Expressing full solidarity with the Canadian people in confronting any attempts to impose political or economic dominance and calling for the respect of peoples' right to self-determination.
Condemning the genocide committed against the Palestinian people and the attempts to forcibly displace them, while demanding accountability for the perpetrators and the imposition of sanctions on the Zionist entity until it complies with international law.
Supporting the Palestinian people's right to resist occupation by all legitimate means and calling for urgent international action to stop ongoing violations against them.
Reaffirming our commitment to continuing the joint struggle for a more just world, free from colonialism and exploitation, based on international solidarity and the respect of peoples' rights to sovereignty, independence, and equitable development.
